Founders Anna and William Brightman started UpCircle Beauty to help address issues of food and ingredient waste. Their proverbial "Ah-ha" moment was when they learned that over 500,000 tons of coffee grounds are discarded annually in the UK - coffee grounds that are full of antioxidants and could be transformed into a natural exfoliant. Cafe by cafe they collected and transformed those grounds into upcycled skincare products, becoming pioneers in the circular beauty economy and creating UpCircle (get it?) Beauty.
